TAGGART FARMS
Truly Fine Show Pigs
About Us
Gentry Watt Taggart

Watt Taggart was raised on a farm in Zabcikville, Texas and was active in 4H and FFA, achieving the American Farmer degree in 1983.  He graduated from Texas A&M University with a BS in Agricultural Economics in 1986 and a Master of Agriculture in Land Economics and Real Estate in 1987.

Amy S. Taggart was raised on a farm at Jarrell, Texas where she spent her summers helping with cotton, grain sorghum, corn, and garden crops.  She graduated from Texas A&M University with a BS in Agricultural Economics in 1988.

Laura Taggart is our oldest daughter and attends Texas A&M University - Central Texas majoring in History Education.  She was very active in FFA in several areas and was the reason we entered the show pig business.  Laura has no specific breed preference, preferring "good ones of any breed."

Carly Taggart is our younger daughter and she is employed with Long Horn Steakhouse in Temple.  She uses her knowledge of swine and meats at the retail level as a server. Carly also showed pigs and is especially fond of Durocs.

Samuel Taggart, our only son, is his Daddy's right hand man and attends Lamar Middle School in Temple.  He is a member of the Temple Junior FFA and Rogers 4H club.  He is interested in a long term career in the swine industry.  Sam is especially fond of his Yorkshire Begonia, but started out as a Duroc man.
